Michael Silverman, CEO of Duo Consulting, and Dave Terry, Co-founder and Partner of Mediacurrent, are presenting the session Understanding the Critical Metrics for Your Drupal Business at DrupalCon in New Orleans next week.
About the Session
When you first start a Drupal-centric business you will get a lot of well-intentioned advice about "knowing your numbers." The problem? Well established competitors are naturally apprehensive about sharing key data points. Industry consultants might be able to help but are not in the trenches of actually running an agency. Their information is purely anecdotal; often it is based on inconclusive surveys and just sounds like preaching.
As two active Drupal business owners and entrepreneurs, Michael and Dave will open the curtain and share the critical metrics that have worked for them. More importantly, the session will share how the execution of those metrics have lead to successful growth strategies for their companies. They will also address a core set of topics focused around creating greater operational efficiency, including:
- Financials: revenue, margins, EBITDA, and managing and utilizing cash flow
- Sales/Marketing: business development, creating brand awareness, and the best tools and resources to leverage
- Human Resources: culture, recruiting and benefits
